Daudi Sumba

Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa
Daudi Sumba is the Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa for WWF International based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is a long-term career conservationist and leader who has spent over 30 years working on key conservation issues around Africa. Fifteen of these years have been spent in senior leadership positions driving conservation strategy across the continent. He has especially worked on wildlife economics, community conservation, landscape conservation, conservation finance, program management, measuring conservation impact, policy influence among others. His academic background is in Economics of Environment and Development, and he has published widely on issues of wildlife economics in Africa.

Before WWF, Daudi worked for various conservation organizations including the African Wildlife Foundation, Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy. He also worked for the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa which focuses on agricultural transformation in Africa.
